Elvis’s Momma always asked “Does a Comcast Remote work with VIORE TV’s?
My wife and I have just bought a VIORE plasma. It is great. We had just got COMCAST and we don’t know if the remote will work or not? And if it does how do we connect it?
the remote code lists i have don’t show Viore brand… if you call the company they may be a part of sony or lg or use the same freq…as them with there remotes..
if that fails what you can do you use the volume and turn the tv on and off
to turn the tv on and off if you plug the tvs power cord in the back of the cable box( some dont have outlets built into them.. then disregard the rest of this)
hit menu 2 times on the comcast remote
go to setup then to AC Outlet and put it on switched .
leaving the TV on when you hit the cable power button it will shut the TV off and hitting the power again it should turn the tv back on…(some tv you have to turn them on manually)
for the volume you can:
hit cable / sold setup till it blinks 2 times / enter code 993 / remote should flash…then hit the volume (sometimes you have to hit the volume button a few times or hold it down { that is just to get the box to upload the code} a one time deal) ….what you did was override the volume control of the remote to work for the cable boxs volume..
now you just have to turn the volume on your tv up and use the cable remote to lower or raise the volume…( if you hear static in the audio then one volume is higher then the other. adjust that by playing with the tv volume and cable volume.. hope that helps
